When I told I was Vietnamese, the first city comes up to their mind is Hochiminh( as know as saigon). Today, I am glad to put you in on this city.

First, we will know where this name comes from.
Ho chi minh is the most historical person in my country. He was a person who led our country to become independent country, so we use his name to call the biggest city there.

Second, let know something about this city.
If you want to learn about Vietnamese history, never go to Hochiminh, but it is very good for business person who want to invest money in Vietnam. The economic is very good there, yet much unemployment exists because the people from every where in Vietnam come here to looking for a job, and the supply job can’t satisfy the demand. Therefore, the salary is very low for the worker, the people who work by hand, and student who don’t have experience.

The weather is so hot in hochiminh. The average temperature is around 30 to 35 celsius.
For the hochiminh citizens, they often stay at home and working in the daytime, and enjoy their life at mid night. However, when you visit there, you can go around or drink coffee and go to countryside to visit. It is what I did when I went there. You have better don’t go out at 7-9am, 11h30-1pm, and 4h30 -6h30pm. Otherwise, I can meet a lot of traffic jam and breathe the polluted air.

What do you feel now? Boring city, terrible city? No it has many thing for you to play. Let’s see some good place there.

traditional clothes

As I promised in the last two days, today I'm glad to tell you about Vietnamese traditional clothes, and some more about my hometown.

Vietnamese tranditional clothes id a bit similar with one of Chinese tranditional because at first that clothing came from china. In my opinion, when you see a women wear "ao dai" with "non la", you will see the sharp of Viet nam which is "S". Therefore, it become our culture. "Ao dai" is not only beautiful, but also sexy.(smile). In vietnam, people wear it everyday, and everytime.

We use it to go to work, school, weeding, and some important days.
This picture show you what high school student wear in my country. It is both traditional clothes and uniform. I worn it four years in my high school, and it was very uncomformtable for me at that time, but now I want to wear it again. They wear it with many colors, but for student, we must wear white color.

I show you some more beautiful places in my hometown if you want to visit them. In my last entry, I forgot to tell you some information about Dalat, so I do it now.

Da lat is dicorveried by a French. It is located in Lamvien highland, and 1500 meter above the sea level, so eventhough Vietnam is a tropical country, Dalat has a moderate temperate around 18-22 celsius. I think it is a perfect climate to live.

My name is Kate. For sure, I am a lazy person because when I have free time, I just want to

Every week I will show you one city. In this first week, let's know about a small city, Dalat, where I studied high school and university.

PREN WATERPALL

Dalat is a beautiful place with many waterfalls, pagodas, and schools.

Xuanhuong lake is located in the certer of dalat. If you come to Dalat, you must know it. In there, you can walk or sit in a coffee shop to breath the fresh air, and see poeple fishing. I used to do that because it help me relax so good.

Pren waterfall is so far away from dalat's downtown. It take you more than 30munits by car to come there from Xuanhuong lake. What do you think about this waterfall when you see the photo? In my opinion, you had better to visite this scenery when you go to dalat.
