The secret to long life: deprivation

If you know how to limit the calorie in your meal, you will be able to live longer and have a better health than others. That is what I learn from this news. The scientists have been studying about monkeys, which are much similar with human. The research started in 1989 with 30 nature adult rhesus macaques, which usually die at the average 27 year olds, and 45 more after five years. They are fed enough vitamins, minerals, other nutrients but still have a diet. After a period of time, the researcher said that the monkeys who have a diet can live longer than the others thirty percent. Otherwise, it can also decrease tumours, heart disease, diabetes, and have a better IQ. However, the monkeys often have shorter lifespan than humans, so they think this study may not fix for people. Also, they are not sure that either human can cut off their food when they feel hungry or not because the animals can not ask for food as same as human. In conclusion, people still want to have long lifetime, so they continue to process, and also find some drugs to expand lifespan.

I choose this topic since I think I and everyone want to live longer and healthy, so you might interested in this one. In my opinion, having a good diet we can stay healthy, but to live longer we need to eat the right food, and exercise everyday. No chemicals can be better than that. In my case, I believe that I will die soon as I am so lazy to exercise.

  1. I was interested to learn that eating less may potentially prolong your life. Hmmm. Say no to the chocolate now, or live longer? Perhaps the real key is to strike a balance between living healthy and having a high quality of life.
